Dog-friendly Iron Horse Bar & Grill, established in 1991 by Tami Ursich, began its journey in a train depot north of the XXXX on Higgins. This establishment sought a name that honored the region's railroad heritage while projecting a strong presence. The suggestion of "Iron Horse," a term once used for a train's engine, came... from Grandpa Homer Phillips, reflecting the restaurant's own hardworking nature. In 1997, the venue relocated to its current building, evolving from its initial eight employees to a team of over ninety Missoulians. Through various owners, evolving menus, and a growing staff, Iron Horse Bar & Grill has cultivated a family-like atmosphere, happily serving the Missoula community for 22 years and counting.
