Since its establishment in 1983, Uptown Cafe has been a cornerstone of downtown Tallahassee, serving a unique and healthy array of homemade breakfast and lunch dishes. This locally owned and operated establishment, now with three decades of experience, has cultivated a loyal and varied clientele, with many regulars becoming like... friends to owners Fred and Beth Tedio. The menu at this dog-friendly cafe features eclectic breakfast options such as the Apricot Smoked Salmon Omelette and the BD Omelette, alongside hearty choices like Huge Pancakes and the signature ManCake. For lunch, patrons can enjoy the Greek Garden Sandwich or a Smoked Salmon Salad. Uptown Cafe also offers a private dining and meeting room, and a second location opened across from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in April 2000, managed by Nic Tedio, continuing the restaurant's tradition of community engagement and family involvement, having employed many local university students and family members over the years.
