Caboose Tavern, a dog-friendly establishment, began its journey in 2014 when two local families, the McLaughlins and the Greers, established Caboose Brewing Company, opening its doors in April 2015. The name "Caboose" pays homage to the historic W&OD railroad line that once traversed the area, now a prominent local bike and... trail path running directly behind the restaurant. This venue's kitchen, led by an executive chef with a profound appreciation for Appalachian cuisine, culinary history, flavor science, and sustainability, crafts a seasonally changing menu.
