South Bend Brew Werks, a dog-friendly establishment established in 2014, crafts its own on-site produced beers and serves creative comfort cuisine made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. This venue embraces a mission to build a stronger community, celebrating South Bend's rich heritage of brewing and food production.... Sustainability is a core tenet, evident in the adaptive reuse philosophy integrated throughout the pub. The restaurant's journey began as a popup in Downtown South Bend in November 2012, evolving into a Homebrew Supply Store in January 2013. Although the initial plan for a hybrid homebrew and brewpub space was adjusted due to storefront limitations, South Bend Brew Werks successfully opened its Brewery Restaurant in September 2014, honoring its deep pride in the city and its ongoing renaissance.
