Established in downtown Plainfield in March 2012 by Mike and Cassie Vaughn, HopScotch & Vine Food & Spirits has evolved from its humble beginnings with just eight tables to a popular dining destination. This casually elegant establishment, which also features a large patio for summer dining, is a dog-friendly restaurant... dedicated to presenting high-quality meals designed to delight all the senses. The owners, supported by their two daughters and son who also work at the family-run business, are passionate about bringing their culinary expertise from the kitchen to the table, with each made-to-order dish promising a delightful experience. HopScotch & Vine's commitment to the Plainfield community is evident in their sourcing of meat from Tischler's Market in Plainfield and fresh produce from Peter Rubi's in the Route 59 plaza, further solidified by the addition of two retail stores, Simply Saucy & What's New??, directly across from the restaurant. The expansion in December 2012 not only increased seating capacity but also created an exceptional venue for private events, complemented by upscale décor and a stunning onyx bar that imbues the space with a city-like atmosphere right here in Plainfield.
