Sweet Lou's Restaurant & Tap House, a dog-friendly establishment, offers an American fare experience with creative twists on fresh ingredients. Established in 2016, this location in downtown Coeur d'Alene continues the tradition started by Chad and Meggie Foust, who opened their first Sweet Lou's in Hope, Idaho, in 2011. Their... initial concept, named after their son, was centered on greeting guests with a smile and providing exceptional food, drink, and service. This philosophy quickly led to the opening of Sweet Lou's Restaurant and Bar in Ponderay just a year later. The Ponderay venue became known for its home-style comfort food, generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and reasonable prices, further enhanced by 20 HDTVs for game viewing and 16 beers on tap. The Coeur d'Alene location, which replaced the Hope site, maintains the consistent offerings, service, and standards found in Ponderay, boasting a delicious menu, an impressive 32 beers on tap, and a fine wine selection, all while welcoming four-legged friends to enjoy the beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene views.
