Ludger's Bavarian Cakery, a local family-owned establishment in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been a purveyor of quality confections and beverages since its inception in 1980. This dog-friendly spot's origins trace back to a single, beloved dessert creation by Ludger Schulz: the Bavarian Cream Cheesecake, a nostalgic nod to his childhood... in Germany. Initially featured at his restaurant and private caterings, the cheesecake's immense popularity soon led to demand for custom birthday and wedding cakes. As this demand outgrew the shared kitchen space, a dedicated bakery was established to accommodate the growing volume. Over the years, Ludger's Bavarian Cakery has expanded its flavor offerings beyond the original vanilla to include chocolate, chocolate chip, strawberry, key lime, and red velvet, with sugar-free and gluten-free versions of the classic vanilla also available.
