Tavola Nostra Pizzeria e Cucina, a dog-friendly establishment, first opened its doors in 2020, bringing the authentic Pinsa Romana to San Diego for the very first time. Owner Jeff Oliveri, drawing inspiration from a family legacy of restaurateurs, including his mom, dad, and brothers, established this pizzeria and cucina after... over 25 years in corporate management. His culinary journey included specialized training in Rome, Italy, where he became a certified "Originale Pinsa Romana" chef. Following the purchase of the restaurant's location in December 2019, a global pandemic presented challenges, but renovations continued until the official opening in August. Since its inception, Tavola Nostra Pizzeria e Cucina has thrived thanks to the loyal support of Hillcrest regulars and word-of-mouth recommendations, continuing to share its family recipes and warm hospitality with all visitors, including their four-legged companions.
